Worship

Worship service begins at 10:10 am on Sunday and lasts approximately an hour and a half. You are invited for fellowship and coffee, tea, & hot chocolate in the foyer from 9:00 to the start of service.

As you enter our foyer, you will be casually and warmly welcomed by one of our Greeters Team and provided with additional information about the church and a free gift. You will also be given the opportunity to provide us with your information if you would like to be contacted in the upcoming weeks, but this is always an option, not a requirement for visiting.

Worship services at Hope Springs are casual and authentic: all are welcome, and Jesus Christ is the only one we desire to bring attention to. While some choose to “dress up” on Sunday, we encourage you to come as you are, and most members of the congregation choose to dress casually. Children are always welcome in service, but are also provided with opportunities to worship and learn at their own level (see more details below).

Our worship team leads us in God-focused, theologically-sound, contemporary worship songs and hymns with lyrics displayed by projector on screens at the front of the sanctuary. While you may be invited to stand during worship, we believe the importance of worship is not in physical position but in the position of our hearts before God. We seek to always worship in Spirit and in Truth, and welcome you to worship as you are led by the Spirit.

We are called together as the family of God and often celebrate, grieve and pray together and for each other during services.

Announcements of upcoming events are made verbally, but can also be found on the screens before and after service. Tithes and offerings are received at this time by the passing of baskets.

After an approximately 30-minute sermon, we close service with a song from our worship team and a benediction. Many families stay for a little while to fellowship and connect before leaving.

Children

Children Birth through 5th Grade can be checked into class in our Children’s Wing prior to service starting. Because we believe children learn best to love and worship God by observing their parents, students Kindergarten through 5th Grade spend the worship set in service with their family and then transition to class prior to the sermon to learn about God at their level. Children Birth through Pre-K spend the entire service in our toddler room playing, singing, and learning with our fantastic volunteer teaching team. There is a separate area for our smallest ones, and a special team of volunteers - the Rockers - who would love to spend service caring for your precious little one if you desire.

Our check-in and check-out system, located in the classrooms, ensure our children’s safety and security. Parents register their children upon their first visit in the foyer and, on following Sundays, are asked to check their children in and out with our teachers in the classroom. Parents are also given a pager from our in-house system that will vibrate and light up if parental support is needed in the classroom.

We LOVE worshiping with our kids at Hope Springs! The last Sunday of every month is FAMILY SUNDAY, when our children are special guests and participants in service. Focus Bags are provided with activities and snacks, and our Pastor invites all children forward to participate in an object lesson prior to the sermon.
